The Schedule, the League, and the Edges That Might Matter
Week by week, matchup by matchup, I’m logging edges, risks, and blind spots. Not because I’ve got a master plan—I don’t. This is how I learn: experiment in public, with the Lions at the center.

The Pivot After the Draft
The draft is over. My roster is locked in. Gibbs, LaPorta, Allen — my three-headed monster. Depth all around. But now what?
Here’s the truth: this isn’t just a fantasy team. And I’m not going to pretend I’ve got some master plan. I don’t.
I’ve never done this before. I’m just a (hopefully semi-smart) dude trying to figure shit out with some new tooling. I’m not afraid to systemically try stupid stuff that might not actually be stupid.
We’re at a fulcrum in technology. Honestly, in history. I don’t want to sit back and read about it later. I want to understand it viscerally. This is how I dig in.
So I’m taking the same approach with this league that I’m taking with the Lions: an experiment in seeing clearly. Who I play, when I play them, what their rosters look like, where the edges live. Sometimes I’ll be right, sometimes I’ll be dead wrong — and all of that gets logged in the Lab.
Week-by-Week Snapshot
- Week 1 – vs Hello Sunday Hello Road → My edge: Allen + Gibbs + LaPorta. Favored.
- Week 2 – at James Laid → CeeDee/Taylor on the other side. Toss-up.
- Week 3 – vs Him Kleinsasser → Even roster; Allen/LaPorta tilt it. Lean win.
- Week 4 – at Joey Freshwater → Jefferson/MHJ/Lamar. Underdog.
- Week 5 – vs Coach Bill Yoast → Balanced hammer squad. Coin flip.
- Week 6 – at Co-Stanza → CMC/Tyreek/Kelce. Underdog.
- Week 7 – at Space Rangers → Aging RBs vs my RBs. Lean win.
- Week 8 – vs Kenosha Kickers → QB + RB edges for me. Favored.
- Week 9 – at U Mad Bro? → Barkley on their side; balance on mine. Lean win.
- Week 10 – vs Buc Country Blues → Mahomes/Bijan vs my depth. Toss-up.
- Week 11 – at Slim Reaper → WR strength there, RB stability here. Lean win.
- Week 12 – vs Hello Sunday Hello Road → Favorable repeat.
- Week 13 – vs James Laid → Narrow lean my way at home.
- Week 14 – at Him Kleinsasser → Tight, Allen/LaPorta can tilt late. Lean win.
Season Outlook
- Favored: 8–9 games
- Toss-ups: 3–4 games
- Underdog: 2 games (Weeks 4 & 6)
Projected record: 9–5 (10–4 if the coins flip my way). Playoff team. Contender. Nothing guaranteed.
The Frame
This isn’t about being right. It’s about logging the process. The Lab is alive. It’s messy. It’s bold. And it’s always, always about the Lions.
