🦁 Why This Exists
Three generations of Lions heartbreak — and hope — unfolding in Grandpa’s den. This was the first image I ever made with DALL·E 3, and while it’s far from a perfect memory, it still hits.

It’s been 48 years.

49 on Friday.

And most of them?

Brutal.

But I still remember sitting in my grandpa’s den — watching the game, watching him get frustrated, watching us hope anyway.

It hurt. It always hurt. But it was ours.

The Lions were our team. They still are.

And somehow, they’ve always felt like Detroit itself —

bruised, counted out, scrapping for every inch of respect, but never, ever folding.

“Same Old Lions,” they said.

But those of us who’ve bled Honolulu Blue and Silver this long - we knew there was something more.

Even if it never showed up in the win column.

I grew up in the western suburbs, far enough out to forget for a minute, but still close enough to feel the fight in the air.

Now I live in Central Florida, but my heart is still in the D.

Still with the team. Still with the people.

So I built this site - Lions Lab Report - not to chase clicks, not to replace the incredible voices already out there but to add mine.

To stay connected.

To honor the team, the city, and the fandom that raised me.

To share in the joy of this new chapter - because MCDC and Brad Holmes have flipped the script.

This is different. And I want to feel every second of it.

If you’re reading this, and you feel it too - then welcome.

You’re not alone. And this roar’s for you.
